OVERVIEW
We had the pleasure of designing a custom loading screen for Billz’s Twitch stream. With full creative freedom granted, we crafted a vibrant anime-cyberpunk recording studio—a concept directly inspired by the color palettes featured across Billz’s Instagram profile. As a music producer, a studio environment felt like the most authentic visual backdrop for his digital persona.
Anime has been a recurring aesthetic in Billz’s music branding, appearing frequently across his singles and EPs. We embraced that style while introducing a futuristic, cyberpunk twist—capturing the forward-thinking energy of his sound and visual identity.
PROJECT DETAILS
The project began with the design of a studio. Music production is an integral part of Billz's identity and brand so the studio background served as a foundation to build the rest of the image upon. Once the design of the studio was created, characters were carefully designed and added to the mix. Billz's character takes precedent in the foreground being the main subject and a couple complimentary female characters were placed in the background. A shower of dollar bills pays homage to Billz.
The anime cyberpunk aesthetic was an intuitive creative decision made by us and was largely inspired by his EPs and single covers.
The 2D animation was made by creating and combining various custom elements using Photoshop, Midjourney, Leonardo, and Immersity AI — all of it being tied together with bold text and striking visual effects.
CONCLUSION
The end result was a dynamic two-dimensional moving image creating the illusion of depth of field and space, looped on repeat to serve as a pre-stream loading graphic to keep anticipating viewers engaged for the livestream.
